Our model contribute to the communities by making its services affordable to all. The program that we started in 2015 at Overbrook Community Centre provides access of the service with a focus on the lower income holders. In our program we strongly encourage participation from the new immigrants and refugees and assist them with integrating to the Canadian Education system.
The Story of AlivEducation
Moments That Shaped Our History
2005
Started with a Visionary Idea
The concept began ten years back when the founder decided to create a service for empowering light in the children and help them attain their educational goals. At the time AlivEducation had only a few students and it was mainly a home based service
2014
Became an After School Educational Model
In 2014, the AlivEducation service was implemented as an after school educational model with centres across city of Ottawa. The service was starting to see an increase in the number of students. The years of experience that AlivE had working with children allowed us to develop curriculum in Math and Languages specifically designed to address learning gaps.
2015
Created an Educational Model for all
2016
Recognition
In February 2016, AlivEducation hosted its annual education day that was attended by more than two hundred guests. The event had presence of Special Representatives from the Parliament, Local Constituency Offices, and Members of School Boards in Ottawa. In the event, Special Message from the Honourable Prime Minister that highlighted AlivE contribution in the community was read out by Honourable Andre Leslie. It was a major accomplishment for the organization and acted as source of moral boost for our educators and the team.
