Dr. Rashida Suleman
Head, Department of English & International Baccalaureate Program
Rashida is a seasoned educator with over 30 years’ experience. She has extensive exposure to the International Baccalaureate (IB), American, British and Indian curricula. Worked in senior leadership roles across primary and secondary levels. Led authorization and implementation of IB diploma and Cambridge International Examination (CIE) programs. Extensive knowledge of school planning and management (financial budgeting, teacher training, curriculum planning). She has lived and worked in UAE, Bahrain and India. Outside her school work, she is an active Toastmaster and helps non-native English speakers clear IELTS and other professional English tests.
Specific to the IB program, she has over 15 years’ experience. She set it up from scratch at two schools in Bahrain as the Vice-Principal and at a third school in the UAE as a consultant. She has attended multiple IB Program workshops and seminars and is well versed in initiating and operating the IB program at Primary Year, Middle Year and Diploma Program levels. She is also a certified IB coordinator.
Her intellectual curiosity has led her to complete a Doctorate in English, Masters in Public Administration and Bachelors (undergrad) in Education and Sciences (Chemistry, Zoology and Botany).
